Crail Thrash 18.04.21 Cancelled

After the latest Scottish Government announcement this week, we have received confirmation that it remains FIFE ONLY until 26th April when travel restrictions will hopefully be eased. (‘Stay Local’ means you are not able to travel across your local council boundaries)Due to this, the Drag & Drift Thrash which was scheduled for the 18th April is now fully CANCELLED

When we revised the calendar we had seriously hoped travel restrictions would have been eased by this date but sadly and frustratingly it is not the case. We will update and keep you informed as soon as we know anything else. If any restrictions are eased sooner and we can open the raceway to a wider circle we’ll be ready to spring into action. We thank you all for your on-going support and patience

Each Driver will need to provide proof of address on arrival and if you can’t provide this or are not a resident in Fife – you WILL be turned away. As advised in our last post, we have consulted with both Fife Council on the restrictions in place and the local Police, who have also advised they may well be in attendance on the day. For all details in attending as a driver taking part, please refer to the previous post. Thanks as always for your support

In line with the latest Scottish Government update, the Open Track and Drift Session on 28th March can go ahead but ONLY FOR DRIVERS WHO LIVE IN FIFE as per the current restrictions – We have consulted with both Fife Council & local Police over this. Please be AWARE that Police may attend on the day as well as present on routes to and from Crail Raceway. We are also aware that at similar sites in Scotland, Police have been checking where drivers vehicles are registered. Please note the following conditions for this session…

When having a rest/break, you MUST maintain at least 2 Metre social distance from anyone outside your same household/extended bubble. Signage is in place and evident onsite and we ask that each person takes responsibility for knowing the current Scottish Government Guidelines, washing hands regularly, carrying and using their own sanitizer/wipes (there are also facilities onsite for your use).Once again, please DO NOT ATTEND /ENTER if you DO NOT live in Fife and if you have/have been in close contact with anyone known to have Coronavirus or personally have any symptoms associated with Coronavirus. If you are in doubt then do NOT attend.

We all know how frustrating the travel restrictions are but better times are almost here. It won’t be too long when we can once again welcome many more of you back to Crail Raceway! For the moment though, please respect the restrictions and guidelines so we can be back to ‘normal’ as soon as possible. Stay safe and thanks to you all for your continued support

Crail Calendar Update 11/3/21

Now there seems to be some light at the end of the lockdown tunnel we have once again revised the 2021 calendar!

Based on the current operating restrictions and how we expect things to pan out over weeks ahead, there have been a few events switched around. However, these will still be subject to change dependant on how the ‘route map out’ proceeds from here

Open Track & Drift Session – 28th March 2021(Fife only as it stands right now as per previous post) We will advise next week after the next Scottish Government update what the procedure and conditions will be for taking part in this first session

Drifters Notice: Remember as per our previous post on 2nd Feb, please ensure you have an exhaust on the car with at least one silencer, thanks.

Further to our last update we can now advise the first ‘Open Session’ will be on Sunday 28th March – This will be an ‘Open Track and Drift’ Session, NOT the 1/4mile track.

‘THE BIG ONE’ – Willie Robertson Memorial Day originally scheduled for the 28th March will now move to 8th August and replace the “CAR” Event.

PLEASE DO NOT message the page or email us at this point regarding this Open Session as we will advise nearer the time the process for taking part.

What we can announce though is that we have consulted with both Fife Council (Environmental Health/Covid Compliance) and the local Community Police and we are pleased to be able to open the gates again. BUT – as per the current Gov advice the ‘Open Session’ on the 28th March will be for FIFE only participants. In advance, only 1 Driver and 1 additional person (Same household/bubble) will be able to attend and take part. Scottish Gov updates are every 3 weeks but we are looking at the first Drag & Drift Session to be on 18th April and we will advise nearer the time what the restrictions are and what the process will be to attend. Also, as a result of the current Scot Gov guidelines out of lockdown, we are now having to re-schedule the Calendar we published in December 2020 and will advise as soon as we have worked it all out

Following today’s Scottish Government announcement and continued lockdown, we have no choice but to cancel the Drag & Thrash on 7th March 😕
However, please be assured we are working hard behind the scenes and aiming to begin running in some form before the end of March 🤞
We hope to have further updates by the end of the weekend, but please DO NOT message the page as we are unable to answer any questions at this time until we have worked everything out 😶
Take care guys, we’ll get there 🙌

After today’s announcement by Scottish Government and the continuation of “Stay At Home” restrictions we have no choice but to postpone our first event that was provisionally planned for 21st February. The lockdown is due for review at the end of February but there is an update in 2 weeks time to hopefully advise that some restrictions may be eased beginning of March. We will advise if the Drag & Drift event on 7th March is likely to take place after the next review in 2 weeks time when hopefully we will be given a timeline for easing of some of the restrictions. Frustrating as it is for all of us – We are VERY keen to re-start and welcome you all back but for now, it is what it is and we all just have to stay safe. When we re-open, rest assured that we will have consulted with the relevant authorities to ensure we are operating as per any Scottish Government Restrictions in place.

DRIFTERS NOTICE As a heads up for the season ahead, when we do re-open please ensure you have an exhaust with at least 1 silencer, thanks.

Provisional Crail Events 2021 Calendar 🏎💨

We are delighted to reveal our provisional 2021 Calendar 😃

As you may expect, this is very much subject to change as we monitor how the covid situation develops. We have also tried our best to avoid clashes with other venues but given that many previously cancelled events will be rescheduled elsewhere it may be unavoidable in some cases.

At the moment, we have no idea what the regulations will be for any event but as the year progresses we will keep you informed of the details.

Thanks to all of you for the continued support this year despite such challenging times. It is thanks to your patience, understanding and adherence to the new processes that we were able to continue operating at all.

For now, we’re taking some time off so any messages will not be dealt with until the new year.

We REALLY look forward to seeing you back in 2021 and hope you all continue to enjoy the festive period (as much as you can at these times!) Stay Safe 🙏
